Comprising our Wooden Sheep Needle Gauge and Wraps per Inch Gauge, this will make a lovely gift as well as a very useful accessory set.
The gauges are made from FSC approved poplar ply which is cut, engraved, stained and then finished with wax.
The knitting needle gauge will accomodate 14 sizes of needle from 3mm to 10mm and shows both UK and US sizes.
The WPI gauge works by carefully wrapping wool in singles around the gauge inside the 1 inch cutout and the amount of wraps per inch determines the gauge of the wool. There is a chart engraved onto the front gauge which calculates this.
